Garlic oil/Garlic oil blend
Garlic oil is a special substance in garlic. It is a bright transparent amber color liquid. It is the most important substance extracted from garlic. This essential oil contains important active sulfide. The main components are allyl disulfide, diallyl disulfide, diallyl trisulfide and allicin. It is mainly produced in Egypt, China and so on. It has activated cells, promoted energy production, increased antibacterial and antiviral energy.
In medical treatment, allicin can be used to treat infectious diseases, digestive system diseases, oral diseases, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and has anti-aging, anti-metal poisoning, anti-cancer and other effects.
In culture, allicin has obvious predatory effect on animals, and has bactericidal, antioxidant effect in vivo, and can enhance the immune function of animals. Adding allicin to various animal feeds can increase animal feed intake and feed conversion rate, increase animal survival rate, reduce incidence, and improve meat quality of animal products. Allicin is a very valuable feed additive.
In planting, allicin can be used to control crop pests and nematodes.
Yellow to orange-red clear and transparent volatile essential oils, with a strong irritating odor and garlic unique pungent flavor. It has strong bactericidal power (about 15 times of phenol). Soluble in most nonvolatile oils and mineral oils, incompletely soluble in ethanol, insoluble in glycerol and propylene glycol.
Allyl disulfide (about 60%), diallyl disulfide (23% ~ 39%), diallyl trisulfide (13% ~ 19%), allyl methyl disulfide, allicin and more than 100 sulfur compounds. The total sulfur content is 35% to 45%.
The use of
It is mainly used to prepare spicy seasoning, and also for disinfectants and other drugs. Garlic bulbs can be extracted from garlic bulbs with organic solvents and used in food industry.
